Projects module — Planning & control

Project management software: from the Gantt schedule to earned value tracking

eyeot's Projects module gives SMBs complete project control, from the Gantt schedule to earned value tracking. Tasks, milestones, dependencies, resources and budget are brought together in a single platform, connected to the rest of the ERP (HR, finance, DMS). You keep visibility over real progress, schedule and cost variances, and your teams' workload.

For project managers, technical departments, design offices and SMBs that run internal or client projects and want to track schedule, resources and budget in one place.

What you can do

Gantt schedule & critical path (CPM)

Build the schedule of your tasks with their dependencies (finish-to-start, start-to-start, finish-to-finish, start-to-finish) and lags, then recompute the critical path to spot the zero-slack tasks that determine the end date.

Earned value (EVM)

Compare planned, earned and actual cost via the PV, EV, AC, SPI and CPI indicators, with an S-curve and frozen baselines as the schedule and cost progress reference.

Tasks, WBS and milestones

Organise the work into hierarchical tasks (work package / WBS) with estimated and actual hours, and mark the project's key stages with due and completion dates.

Resources & workload plan

Assign resources with an allocation rate, define their capacity (hours per day, days per week) and view overall workload, scheduling conflicts and reassignment suggestions.

Planned vs. consumed budget

Track the planned budget against the consumed budget on each project; an alert is triggered automatically above 80% consumption.

Risks & quality

Rate your risks on an impact × probability matrix (5×5) with mitigation plans, and manage quality through checklists and non-conformities (severity, root cause, corrective action).

Multi-project portfolio

Track all your projects from a consolidated portfolio view with its key indicators (progress, delay, workload), and export the data to CSV or Excel.

Compliance & trust

Quality management (ISO 9001 spirit)

The module structures quality checklists, non-conformities and corrective actions with root-cause analysis — a continuous-improvement approach aligned with the spirit of the ISO 9001 standard.

Traceability and data isolation

Each project, task and baseline is timestamped and attached to its organisation: multi-organisation isolation and a native audit trail to know who changed what and when.

Works with your other modules

  • HR — resource assignment, capacities and consideration of approved leave
  • Finance — planned vs. consumed budget tracking
  • DMS — attachment of project deliverables and documents
  • Intelligence — project progress and team workload analysis
  • Notifications & Slack — assignment, milestone-reached and budget-overrun alerts

Frequently asked questions

What is eyeot's Projects module for?
It lets you plan, execute and track your projects: tasks and milestones, Gantt schedule, dependencies, resource assignment, planned vs. consumed budget and progress indicators. Everything is centralised in the ERP and connected to the HR, finance and DMS modules.
How is the critical path (CPM) computed?
From the task durations and their dependencies (finish-to-start, start-to-start, finish-to-finish, start-to-finish) with any lags, the scheduling engine computes the critical path — the chain of zero-slack tasks that determines the project's end date.
What does the earned value method (EVM) bring?
EVM compares planned value (PV), earned value (EV) and actual cost (AC) to produce the schedule (SPI) and cost (CPI) performance indices. You thus measure whether you are ahead or behind and the cost variance against a frozen baseline, with an S-curve.
Can I track the budget and be alerted in case of overrun?
Yes. Each project carries a planned budget and a consumed budget. An automatic alert is issued when consumption exceeds 80% of the planned budget, with a notification (including Slack if the integration is enabled).
How are resources and their workload managed?
You assign resources to tasks with an allocation rate and define their capacity (hours per day, days per week). The module shows overall workload, detects scheduling conflicts and suggests reassignments, with a matching of required skills.
Does the module work with the ERP's other modules?
Yes. Assignments draw on HR resources and take approved leave into account, the budget reconciles with finance, deliverables are filed in the DMS, and progress feeds the dashboards and cross-module intelligence.
