The Permanent Fiscal Journal (JFP) is the central register of compliant point-of-sale software. It records, on a strictly append-only basis (additions only, never any modification or deletion), every event with fiscal significance: session opening and closing, receipt issuance, cancellation, credit note, daily closing, and so on.
This tamper-proof property is one of the pillars of the NF525 standard: it makes it possible to reconstruct the entire activity and to prove that no data has been removed or altered.
In the event of an audit, the JFP can be exported and handed over to the tax authorities. In eyeot, it covers more than twenty-five event types and is archived each year in a signed archive kept for 10 years.
